Abstract

In this paper, we present the prosodic characteristics of the 42 interrogative utterances emitted by 12 informants of Spanish spoken by Brazilians, extracted from a corpus of spontaneous speech. For the study, we have followed the premises and protocols of Prosodic Speech Analysis (Cantero 2019) and have analyzed the dynamic profile, the intensity relationships between the tonal peaks of the vowels, and the rhythmic one, the durations between the same previous peaks. . Our results indicate a tendency for duration to contribute notable values to the interlanguage prosody of Brazilian speakers, both in itself, in unstressed syllables of phonic words, and because of its contrast or complementarity with the melody.
