Abstract

Over the last two decades, research on Spanish as a second/foreign language from an Applied Linguistics perspective has become a well-established field of enquiry. However, additional important aspects still deserve attention in order to get a complete picture of the description of Spanish as an interlanguage. The aim of this paper is to identify these aspects, whose study will help to link research about Spanish as an interlanguage to current issues in Second Language Acquisition Studies
