The aspectuality in the interlanguage of taiwanese students of E/LE. An empirical study on the past indefinite/imperfect preterit dichotomy

The dichotomy indefinite preterite / imperfect has caused much difficulty for learners of Spanish. This study aims to analyze the interlengua of Taiwanese students in E / LE check and the interdependence of two factors, the level of linguistic and lexical aspect, and the distinction of lexical aspect. We worked with 83 informants, belonging to two groups intact, one 2nd and one 5th of Wenzao College of Languages in Taiwan. We make a cross and the body is composed of two types of tests: a test for a complete story with indefinite preterit / imperfect, and a composition whose theme is "a day of winter." From the results obtained from the corpus is that the indefinite-alternancia imperfect form the greater difficulty of learning the Spanish verb, but there is no obvious correlation between the level of linguistic and verbal aspect of the distinction. However, the correlation between lexical aspect and grammatical aspect of verbs has already been proven. Finally, it is observed that for Taiwanese students, the distinction of aspectual tense appears later that the distinction, this time past. In the end we propose some suggestions for teaching this opposition?
