Abstract

This article discloses the results of the study whose main purpose is to address the attitudes, motivation and affective variables in learning Spanish as a Foreign Language (E / LE) in a German university. We used a questionnaire to collect data on the extent and type of motivation as well as attitudes. The results were controlled language through language test conducted by the teaching staff of the center. Finally, persistence has been found through the enrollment of two semesters. According to the results, the motivation to learn the E / LE group of respondents is high, their intrinsic motivation is dominant, followed by the instrumental. In general, there are positive attitudes towards the different factors among students. The informant half has passed the language test level, but has not continued with formal learning of the LO at the same university.
