This paper discusses the research of Cecilia Elena Muse and Darius Daniel Delight on the syntactic complexity of texts produced by university students belonging to different academic courses in the field of the Faculty of Languages?? at National University of Cordoba (Argentina). It also highlights the importance of research for teaching in relation to the production of student written academic discourse.
