Abstract

One of the differentiating features existing among the varieties of Spanish is the use of the present perfect tense of the indicative mode. The research in question, based on an Onomasiologic approach and on the theory of functional-semantic fields, characterizes the use of this tense in the Cuban variety of Spanish from the analysis of an oral language corpus. For this aim, it was proposed a typology of anteriority to the moment of speaking according to its partial meaning as well as a methodology for its analysis
