Abstract

The disappearance of administrative boundaries, the emergence of new technologies and the need for a commercial expansion have led to a great mobility of citizens and goods throughout the world. In response to this intense process of globalization, international institutional frameworks have been developed that cover different fields from legislative and executive to judicial. In the academic panorama, some political initiatives (Education & Training) and frames of reference such as the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages have harmonized the recognition of studies and levels of foreign language, promoting a growth of mobility for academic reasons. It is convenient to identify the linguistic needs arising in this new international academic environment, to describe them and to reflect on how to approach them. This research starts from a preliminary study that served to validate a data collection tool, which will be updated based on the results obtained previously, and that will allow us to conduct a survey in universities with similar characteristics to Nebrija University.
