Abstract

This study analize the lexical intralingual semantic errors of the written compositions in Spanish of 81 Greek SFL students of different proficiency levels (A, B1, B2, C1) applying the method of Error Analysis. The results of the qualitative study show that the most used strategies are the phonological and semantic association between the target language words. The results of the quantitative analysis show that the whole category of the lexical errors as well as every type of these errors increase as the level of proficiency increases.
