Abstract

Concerning the article on Cuban Spanish (Montero Cádiz in this issue), the author reflects on the geolinguistic variation of Spanish in terms of “he cantado / canté” functional distinction, on the Cuban corpus studied, on the effects of linguistic prestige of "peninsular Spanish" and on specific aspects of the tense-aspect interrelationship in grammatical interpretation of “pretérito perfecto”.
