Abstract

This report is intended to point out some of the problems that affect the validation of criteria to assess the linguistic complexity of the productions of L2 students in multilevel proficiency assessment tests. Furthermore, I will make a proposal to deal with those challenges on the basis of the principles of the theoretical framework or the Complexity Theory and the Dynamic SystemsTheory.
