Adult literacy in a foreign language with digital tools

Abstract

This dissertation reviews 10 scientific articles in the last decade regarding foreign language adult literacy with digital tools. When carrying out this review, the trends of the topics addressed, the study objectives and the methodology applied are noted. The consultation of the WOS and Scopus databases is taken into account for the selection of impact articles and online postgraduate theses. Likewise, after the analysis of documents, specialized authors such as Heather Lotherington are highlighted. Among the conclusions, it is formulated that the multimodal digital tools that are spoken of in relation to adults for learning second languages consist of technologies applied to other educational levels, namely, applications with artificial intelligence technology, immersive technologies, social networks in mobile, video games and video production.

Beatriz Peña Acuña, University of Huelva, Spain

Full professor in language and literature didactics at the University of Huelva.
of Huelva. Her research interests are linguistics applied to language teaching, technodidactics and teaching strategies. She is the director of the journal Linguo didáctica. She is a researcher on European and European and national competitive projects and 68/83 contracts. She is an expert evaluator for the
SEPIE. She has supervised 4 doctoral theses. Her scientific production is prolific. She has recently published about a mobile application with artificial intelligence in Frontiers of Psycology, augmented reality stories in Porta Linguarum and Buero Vallejo in European Journal of Psycolinguistics.

Anna Izabella Cislowska, University of Huelva, Spain

Philologist from the University of Wroclaw (Poland). She has completed a Master's degree in Languages and Literature in Contrast: Advanced Studies at the University of Huelva. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the doctoral programme in social sciences and education at the University of Huelva. at the University of Huelva. Her research interests are in linguistics applied to language teaching, technodidactics and technodidactics and teaching strategies. She speaks several languages.
