Abstract

This study explores the influence of interaction with ChatGPT on the emotional experience of Chinese-speaking students of Spanish as a foreign language. Based on a mixed-methods approach, the research focuses on key affective variables in language learning, such as anxiety, motivation, and the perception of the emotional environment. Through the combination of quantitative and qualitative tools, the study investigates how a conversational artificial intelligence may impact learners’ emotional well-being and their engagement with the target language. The findings provide insights into the pedagogical potential of emerging technologies in intercultural language education contexts.
