El componente socioemocional en la enseñanza de ELE: un enfoque lingüístico a partir del cuento “El juez” de Josefina Aldecoa
The Socio-Emotional Dimension in ELE Teaching: A Linguistic Approach Using Josefina Aldecoa’s Short Story “El juez”
Keywords:
ELE teaching, short narrative, socio-emotional component, Josefina Aldecoa, El juezAbstract
This article focuses on the socio-emotional component in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language (ELE) at upper-intermediate levels (B2), based on the premise that the affective and ethical development of students is fundamental to the construction of their linguistic identity. The short story “El juez” by Josefina Aldecoa is proposed as a teaching tool to address the emotional and reflective dimension, examining its potential through the study of affective vocabulary and the pragmatic strategies used to express emotions. Based on this approach, students’ written productions are analyzed after reading and reflecting on the text, in which they express judgments, evaluations, and attitudes using structures appropriate for the B2 level. The results show that incorporating a socio-emotional approach in the classroom contributes not only to language learning but also to the development of a deeper and more meaningful communicative competence.
